Biography

Kent Twining has practiced with the firm since 1981. He concentrates on negligence and strict-liability defense. Mr. Twining has represented businesses and individuals for 27 years. He defends corporations, partnerships, and other business ventures in all types of litigation in the areas of negligence, commercial law, trucking law, health care law, mass torts, products liability, professional liability, and toxic torts.

Mr. Twining has been elected by his peers to Advocate membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1987. Mr. Twining was named a “Texas Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Mr. Twining received his B.A. degree from the University of Texas (1978) and his J.D. degree from the University of Houston (1981). He is licensed to practice before all Texas state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, and Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk Management. Mr. Twining has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest (AV) rating.
