Biography

Todd Wright is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (B.A. 1990) and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law (J.D. 1994), and is a former law clerk for the Supreme Court of Texas and the Hon. Elizabeth Ray, Judge, 165th Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas. After his licensure, Mr. Wright was an associate with Giessel, Barker & Lyman (n/k/a Barker Lyman) from 1994 through 2001. Prior to rejoining the firm in 2008, Mr. Wright was Vice President and General Counsel of Southwind Freight and Global Logistics, L.P. a specialized transportation carrier of oil field support products.

Prior to becoming general counsel, Mr. Wright provided legal counsel to major companies, insurers, and professionals in a variety of matters ranging from general tort matters, product and premises liability claims, medical device liability claims, professional liability claims, employment discrimination claims, regulatory matters, environmental litigation (Brownfields and contaminated property remediation), workers' compensation claims, and complex coverage and reinsurance issues, and has successfully defended clients in litigation throughout the United States during the past 15 years.
